Are you an LGBT, solo, and/or adoptive parent?
Do you use the internet or mobile technology to connect with other parents or talk about family life?
I am a researcher at the University of Nottingham who is leading a project about the experiences of parents in diverse families across the UK. I hope to amplify the voices of underrepresented family groups, and highlight some of the challenges they face. I’m looking for parents who are LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender), adoptive, and/or solo (raising children alone), and am interested in the role that digital (online and mobile) media, such as messaging apps, discussion forums, social networks and blogs, play in your life.
If you join the project, I will come and talk to you three times over nine months in 2019 and ask you to share some of your digital interactions with me. Your participation will be completely voluntary, confidential and anonymous, and you will be able to choose what you share.
I’m interested in hearing from individuals, couples and groups, and particularly welcome expressions of interest from fathers, and parents belonging to minority groups in addition to those already mentioned.
If you would like to register your interest, and/or find out more, please contact me (Dr Jai Mackenzie) at firstname.lastname@example.org
